Just in time for Christmas, Sync Forward returns with its seventeenth release, introducing fellow countryman Andy Caz & Pedro Vasconcelos and their debut release ‘First Base’.
Opening up this essential three track EP is ‘First Base’, a heavily experimental percussive and intoxicatingly intricate track. Nippy and smooth, a futuristic beat of minimalistic techno, with subtle synthesizers and a real sense of engineering brilliance that makes it one of the labels favorite.
Up next is Andy Caz’s ‘Daydreamin’ Rework’, a remake of the opening track expertly reduced to its key components, with a rich and seductive overall groove. With its housish construct it perfects encapsulates the artists attention to detail and form.
Last but not least is ‘Vasconcelos Rework’, a bumpier, funky fuelled cut, with shimmering percussive patterns, and metallic snares. Featuring abstract vox fx’s and bubbly synth lines, its a compelling bit of work that will stand out in any set.
This exciting new EP proves once more Sync Forward ongoing dedication to find the best quality musicians to add to its rooster.
