After what was undoubtedly its most successful release yet, Sync Forward presents its first ever VA – Sequence One – a composition of hypnotic beats with four cuts of understated techno music hailing from four different countries.
The first track “Mental Chess” reached our headquarters all the way from Holland, by techno duo Diction. Influenced by current big-room techno, the duo organic production style reveals a rolling, dirty groove filled with flowing and rippling synths making it clear their musical chemistry is unique.
Already a label favorite Filipe Cobos returns with a straight dance-floor bomb, with the most unbelievable mesmerizing low-pitched vocal and a distinctive percussive straight 909 clap, creating the perfect peak time track. “Bass In Your Face” really doesn’t lie, shimmering a tight raw bassline, bouncing throughout undulating layers of percussion, shakers and spacey fx’s.
Surely not to be missed.
All the way from Japan “But It Refuses” is another raw groove with a pumping ride and ghostly constant evolving synthline, with Fukuda droping a seductive roller reverberating track, from it’s naked kick and snare beat to it’s oscillating bass, composition rawness at its finest.
Wrapping up our first compilation is Yo Montero, bringing a seductive minimal clubby banger of a track, replete with hypnotic bleeps and an undulation pad. “The Walkers” is the perfect stomping beat, with a growling disengaged bassline and infectious melody, while staying faithful to his dark origins, it closes the release with a bang and establishing once again Sync Forward as a serious and talented label.
