Pedro Vasconcelos
Portugal
Pedro Vasconcelos is a Portuguese DJ, producer, and founder of the Unnamed & Unknown collective — which signals curatorial instincts as much as production ones. His material sits closer to deep and tech house than to straight melodic techno, and that distinction matters because it gives the early Sync Forward catalog a register the more atmospheric releases couldn't cover alone. First Base with Andy Caz was exactly the kind of record that makes a compilation feel wider than its individual parts.
