Tonaco
Brazil
Tonaco is a Brazilian producer from Palmas, Tocantins who came to electronic music via rock bands before shifting fully to club music. His releases on Sync Forward — the Aurora EP and later material — sit in the progressive and spatial end of the catalog, built on patient movement, rhythmic detail, and an emotional register that carries traces of Brazil's wider musical traditions. Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J are the references he's cited, which locates him inside a very specific tradition of South American progressive sensibility.
