Record Details

Following the highly acclaimed Mandala EP, Sync Forward returns with a brand new release from label co-owners and widely praised techno producers Remotion. Presenting us with three original masterpieces, it imposes itself as a versatile body of work, defined by the creative quality of the Portuguese duo.

The lead track ‘Bad Shape’ is an elegant electronic composition, replete with crisp drums and underlying levels of percussion. Its detailed evolving gritty synths, balance beautifully the complex textures in the background. An all-time favourite at the label.

Next comes ‘Surroundings’ surprising immediately with its tingling and provocative drums. The background noise fx’s, with the growling Reece bass, gives it a very dark nature, and perfect for that late night drop.

The third original arrangement is ‘Free Fall’, another unbelievably well-achieved track, it has an eerie and minimalistic feel to it. The rolling sub bass is a flawless addition that fits brilliantly with the growling stab synths and characteristic percussion in the back.

Closing the package, we have Monotronik‘s delivering a heavy-duty remix of “Bad Shape”. Keeping in line with original atmosphere, the remix is a true reinterpretation of the original track, slick, infectious, finely remixed.

Sync Forward keeps establishing itself as an internationally recognisable trademark.
