Civil Servant
Canada
Toronto producer Civil Servant arrived on Sync Forward in 2021 with In Your Heart, a three-track debut that placed him immediately at the label's more emotional end. The title track led with a strong melodic hook and a vocal tension that carries the record; No Reason and Too Far built around it without losing the mood. The project has a clear identity — melodic sweep, late-night drama, dancefloor intent — and the debut delivered on all three. Sometimes a label signs someone and the fit is obvious from track one. This was one of those.
